Rob Kidnie - The Boss!
Rob Kidnie 35 is an Australian native. He has surfed since the age of 5
& competed at national level as a sponsored surfer in his teenage years. He has traveled to the worlds best surfing and kitesurfing spots including Australia, Indonesia, Fiji, Brazil, Mexico, Brazil and Peru.
Rob is not only a level 2 IKO kitesurfing instructor but also a PADI master scuba diver trainer. With over 10 years teaching experience. For the last 7 years Rob’s passion has been kitesurfing. This combined with his surfing and teaching skills makes him one of the most experienced instructors around.
Rob has been forced into some very uncomfortable situations while in the ocean in his life - and found his way out of them! Let him share his wealth of knowledge with you; Rob is the undisputed king of kitesurf wave-riding in Mui Ne - your chance to learn with the best!
Iain Fullerlove - Online Sales / Website
Iain (known to everyone apart from his mum as Shina) manages the online sales and website for Kite-n-Surf. Iain first ventured
onto the water in the early days of windsurfing back in 1976, and was an RYA windsurfing instructor in the early 80s.
Now a passionate kitesurfer with 8 years experience on the water as well as a qualified
IKO instructor, Iain is from the UK, and divides his time between
Europe and Vietnam, either in front of a computer or (preferably) in front of a kite bar!
Steve Hermann - Instructor
Steve was born and raised in Switzerland, and speaks both German & English fluently. His passion for the wind was fueled by windsurfing crazed father from a young age - Steve’s family would chase wind throughout every European summer of his childhood. He converted to kiting from windsurfing a few years ago and hasn’t looked back.
Steve is a fully qualified IKO Instructor, and one of the most passionate instructors you will meet. Let Steve share his passion for the wind with you - you won’t be disappointed!
Marcel Schmitt - Instructor
Marcel was born and raised in Heidelberg, Germany with the dreams of one day living in a warm climate. These dreams came true once he had completed his army training
in 1985. Marcel has traveled the worlds coastlines extensively, and has been immersed in water-sports since first windsurfing at the age of 12 in Corsica.
Marcel is a IKO Level 2 instructor, an accomplished kitesurfer, windsurfer, surfer and diver.
He has competed windsurfing at an International level and has been a judge on more than one International kitesurfing events .
Twan van Lieshout - Advanced Instructor
Twan from Holland first got a power-kite in his hands 21 years ago while land-boarding and bugging. It wasn’t long after this that he was gliding across the water - he is one of the pioneers of the sport. Ozone kites and Underground boards currently sponsor Twan.
If you want to take your riding to new heights you need to meet Mui Ne’s King of the" BIG AIR" and Mega–loops - Mr Twannie.
Not only can this guy ride, he also has 8 years experience as an IKO instructor.

Karolina Grobelna - Instructor
Karolina heralds from Warsaw, Poland and speaks English fluently, as well
as Polish. She has spent the last few years working as an instructor through out the world, in places such as Dominican Republic, Greece, Vietnam and Poland.
Karolina is a Qualified IKO instructor. Karoline has a great teaching technique that will get the most difficult of students up and riding in no time.
Mien
- Instructor
Mr Mein is a Mui Ne local resident, he rides and teaches at a very high level standard. Consistently nailing handle pass and other technical moves. He has fluent English language skills and amazing patience when teaching, gained from over 5 years working in the Vietnam kitesurfing industry.
Tien
- Assistant Instructor
Tien is a 21 year old local and one of Mui Ne ‘s premier assistant instructors. He has a good grasp on English and 4 years experience working with kitesurfing in Vietnam. He is always the first to help a kitesurfer having issues. Tien is
also a wizard with a trainer kite!
